Athletics

The Saint Andrew's Athletics Program represents more than just competition between two teams.  It helps fulfill one of the tenets of an Episcopal education: Educating the whole child - mind, body, and spirit.  Saint Andrew's incorporates physical education and health education into the curriculum at each grade level, in addition to fielding a variety of interscholastic sport teams for both girls and boys throughout the year.

Students learn the value of exercise and how to make healthy lifestyle choices. Athletics and physical education is a means of learning that many things require hard work and dedication to bring success. Good sportsmanship, both as a winner and a loser, and the concepts of teamwork and self-discipline are inherent parts of any athletic program, as well as of life.

Our after school athletic teams include:

Girls
Girls can compete in volleyball, cross country, basketball, track, and softball.

Boys
Boys can choose from these interscholastic sports: football, cross country, basketball, and track.

For volleyball, flag football and basketball, Saint Andrew’s is a member of the Diocese of San Jose Catholic Athletic League - West Division.  For cross country and track, Saint Andrew’s competes against area public schools

Requirements for participation vary according to grade level.

Through participation in athletics, many Saint Andrew’s students have broadened their opportunities to attend top colleges and universities as well as developed lifelong passions.
