Educational Records Bureau (ERB) Test Results
ERB09.jpg

Each year Saint Andrew's administers the Education Review Bureau (ERB) Comprehensive Testing Program (CTP) 4 on an annual basis as is required for accreditation by the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS). This standardized test program, used by more than 1,600 public and independent schools nationwide, is a challenging test designed to distinguish learning among students at the highest level.

Developed for the ERB by Educational Testing Service to serve the needs of high achieving students and schools that aspire to higher standards, CTP 4 is a rigorous test battery designed to collect basic information about student achievement. When used in conjunction with comprehensive and accessible score reporting systems, data are organized to answer the important questions of teachers, administrators, and parents about student performance in key areas of school achievement.

CTP 4 measures student achievement in reading, listening, vocabulary, writing and mathematics.  Verbal and quantitative reading skills are also evaluated. We are very proud to share and celebrate our students' success on the 2009 ERB CTP 4.

The graphs represent the cross median percentile summaries for our 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grader students.  The bars are represented as follows:
  • blue=National Norm;
  • red=Suburban Norm;
  • green=Independent School Norm;
  • purple=Saint Andrew's Episcopal School Norm
It is a credit to our students, our strong academic curriculum as well as our highly experienced staff that overall Saint Andrew's students performed above the Independent School Norm in virtually all categories and in all grade levels.
