Seventh Grade French Second Quarter
One of our main themes this second quarter has been shopping. Students learned to name and describe clothing, discuss style, make comparisons, and point out certain people and things.

Vocabulary focused on clothing, adjectives, and verbs. The students learned two more regular verb groups: the –ir and –re verbs, as well as accent changing verbs and the verb mettre.

Other grammatical points included demonstrative and interrogative adjectives, the comparative, the imperative verb forms and irregular adjectives.

Students creatively incorporated their new vocabulary and structures by writing and performing skits in a clothing store as well as mini skits practicing the command form of the verbs.
It would be wise for the students to continually review previous material. They can do this with the book flash cards or their own flash cards as well as the online materials found at ClassZone.com.
