Saint Andrew’s Episcopal School students develop leadership skills through student council opportunities.
Each year, the third through seventh grade students elect six officers from sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. The Student Council President is elected from the incoming eighth grade class, as are the Parliamentarian and the Communication Chairperson. The Vice President and the Secretary are elected from the incoming seventh grade class. The Treasurer is elected from the incoming sixth grade class. Class Representatives are elected from respective classes and advisories in grades three through eight.
The Saint Andrew’s Student Council serves the school community by planning extracurricular student activities such as dances, raffles, movie nights, off-campus laser tag, bowling and other entertainment activities. They also serve the school in any capacity of leadership, such as tour guides at Open House and helpers for other various school events. The student council meets weekly to plan activities and promotions and develop good meeting and reporting skills.
