Theatre
Saint Andrew's students begin to explore the performing arts at a young age as they learn the importance dramatics plays in developing personal communication skills. Dramatics/theatre can channel creativity, awaken the imagination, and enrich expression.

Even our earliest grades create costumes and sets and memorize lines for their productions of Goldilocks and the Three Bears (PreKindergarten) and The Three Piggy Opera (Kindergarten). The Language Arts curriculum frequently involves Readers' Theatre where students transform a novel they've been reading into skits. They develop the dialogue and costumes then present their works to the class. Social Studies comes to life as students act out historical events.

Our Performing Arts curriculum includes the study of choreography and staging. Each year Saint Andrew's puts on a Broadway-style musical production. Students take leadership roles in stage management, lighting, and sound, and the cast benefits from working with a professional director.
