Wow! Our production is really moving right along: We have "blocked" almost have of the show. That means that the cast knows where they are going to stand, walk, swim, etc. for a lot of the script, already. We are beginning to work on music and dance numbers: This is starting to look like a show!
Please remember to send a snack with your hungry, growing cast members. We have had a wonderful suggestion: Due to the nature of the show (it has an ecological theme), try to send something that includes trash that can be recycled - or something that is really Earth-friendly, like a piece of fruit.
Here is the schedule for February. My arrangement with Mr. Bullard still stands and will, for the duration of the production (kids who are involved in sports should always choose the game, over rehearsal - but they should attend rehearsal, if there is just practice).
FEBRUARY
FEB. 2: Fishnets, Genevieve, Detective Auguste and Gregoire, Etienne, Josephine, Pierre, Neptune and Volitilius. This rehearsal will be held in room 40.
FEB. 4 Until 5:30pm: FULL CAST Rehearsal. We will be running through the show, to get an idea of how far we have come. All cast members need to attend.
FEB. 9: Mermaids, Genevieve, Seahorse and Starfish, Pierre. Neptune, Volitilius, Etienne, Captain,Fishnets, Balforia Sisters.
FEBRUARY 14th - 19th NO SCHOOL/NO REHEARSAL
FEB. 23 - Rehearsal will end at 5pm: All Musical Numbers. This will give us an idea of what needs to be done. COSTUME SHEETS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED THIS WEEK!
FEB. 25 - Rehearsal will end at 5pm: FULL CAST - Tsunami Scene!
MARCH 2nd: FULL CAST. Music and Scenes.
MARCH 4th: TBD - We need to see what will need work, at this point.
