What Our Faculty Have to Say

Laura Lewis, Pre-Kindergarten - Saint Andrew's has been a "Home Away From Home" for me as a teacher for the past 15 years. As soon as I exit my parked car each morning, the greetings and smiles from students, parents, faculty, and staff, fuel my energy and commitment to being a part of this experience.

Sarah Clair, Fifth Grade -  Saint Andrew’s is special because it nurtures the whole child. Each child is encouraged to develop their own personality, playing to their strengths and strengthening their weaknesses.

Cassie Pratt, Kindergarten - “Saint Andrew’s is a supportive community of loving people that feels like a family. Our staff is a group of dynamic people that challenge and encourage me to be the best teacher I can possibly be. I truly treasure this work environment. I choose to teach here because I believe in raising children with strong character and a true love of learning - and that's what we aim to do each day.“

Anonymous - “Saint Andrew’s is a special place for students and their teachers alike. It is a home away from home, where lifelong learning is cultivated. It is a place where teachers truly care about their students and develop relationships with them.

Erin Stacey, Grade 7 and 8 Social Studies -  "I love being a member of the Saint Andrew's community. I feel included and welcome. Being a member of this community means that I belong to a place that lives and breathes character building.

Sue Dvorak, Grade 6 Math and Science - I think that Saint Andrew's is such a special school because of its sense of community. I have never seen anything like it. I love what the school has done for my children. It teaches them character, integrity and responsibility.

Judy Millerick, Second Grade - We have a wonderful community filled with warm, loving, understanding people that truly care for each other. All of the individuals here, (faculty, staff, and of course, the children along with their parents) make US who we ARE when we come together.

Alison Halla, Grade 7 English - When I was a plaid-jumper-clad girl, my favorite thing about Saint Andrew's was the eucalyptus and oak-shaded creek path that led to Crestbrook Field. I also recognized what a privilege it was to attend a school where I regularly got to express my creativity and curiosity with such activities as sculpting with ceramics, playing xylophones, dissecting frogs, performing plays in French and Spanish, discussing classic literature, and writing stories.

Victoria Trevor, Lower School Head - The Saint Andrew's community is a very special and unique one in many ways. There are always high expectations, a strong passion, and commitment from everyone on the faculty. This energy is very powerful and inspiring to our students.

Eileen Springs, K-Third Grades French and Spanish - I have loved and appreciated the opportunity to teach these many years at this wonderful school. I feel proud to be at a school where caring and community are of utmost importance.
