Together we can end local hunger. Saint Andrew's Episcopal School is partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank to provide for the 1 in 10 people in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties receiving food from Food Bank each month. Now is the time to take action!
- Donate online through our Virtual Food Drive or mail checks made payable to Second Harvest Food Bank to 750 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125. Be sure to include our DRIVE ID NUMBER 6419 with all offline donations.
- Food collection barrels will be on campus Monday Nov. 14, 2011. Let’s fill them to the brim before they’re picked up on Tuesday Jan. 3, 2011!
- Sen an email to your friends, family and co-workers so they’ll know how to support our efforts. One email to all of your friends can bring in food for our neighbors in need. It’s that simple.
Thank you for your participation!

1) Select Schools from the first drop-down menu
2) Select Saint Andrew's Episcopal School from the second drop-down menu
3) Select the appropriate team name from the final drop-down menu
Fill up the barrels with these nutritious, non-perishable foods:
- Meals in a can (stew, chili, soup) - Low-sugar cereals
- Tuna and canned meat - 100% fruit juices in single serving boxes
- Peanut butter - Canned fruit packed in juice
- Canned foods with pop-top lids - Canned vegetables (low salt)
Please avoid donating items packaged in glass. If you find glass items in the barrel, please package them in protective boxes to prevent breakage.
Here are some suggestions for using social to help spread the word. Don’t forget to “Like” Second Harvest and “Tweet” about the Food Bank throughout the drive!
