Matriculation Data Congratulations Class of 2009!
For more than 30 years Saint Andrew’s Episcopal School has seen 90% or greater of the matriculating 8th grade students accepted to top Catholic and Independent Schools. The Class of 2009 continued that great achievement.
For the second year running, 100% (n=49) of our students were accepted to a private high school of their choice.

Placement test results were laudable with 88% (n=43) placing in higher-level mathematics, 81% (n=35) in higher-level science, 75% (n=21) in higher-level Spanish and 63% (n=5) in higher-level French, as freshmen.
Science
- Of the 49 graduates, 2 decided to attend public school where they do not have a choice in the science course they take, 2 attended private schools where they were required to take Physics as Freshmen and 2 elected not to take science in their Freshman year.
- Of the remaining 43 students, 81% (n=35) placed in a higher-level science class.
Spanish
- 41 students took Spanish in Middle School
- Of the 41, next year, 7 are taking a different language, 6 did not take a placement test
- Of the 28 students, 75% (n=21) tested in higher than Spanish 1.
French
- 8 students took French
- Of 8, 63% (n=5) tested in higher than French 1.
Mathematics
Of the 49 graduates, 88% (n=43) placed in higher-level mathematics classes as follows:
- Algebra 1 Accelerated = 10% (n=5)
- Geometry = 20% (n=10)
- Geometry Honors = 37% (n=18)
- Algebra 2 Honors = 18% (n=9)
- Pre-Calculus Honors = 2% (n=1)
