Please join us Tuesday, March 29th, 9:00 - 9:40 a.m.* in the Hall to hear Eric Simons as he shares the opening address for the Third Annual Middle School Science Symposium. (Opening remarks will commence at 8:45 a.m.)

Simons is the author of Darwin Slept Here, a travelogue recounting his recreation of the path Darwin took in the Voyage of The Beagle. Simons will share about Darwin's childhood and how Darwin's childhood interests, character and personality led him to become the naturalist he was.

Prior to Mr. Simons' talk, guests can explore the eighth grade students' 2061 projects.  In celebration of Saint Andrew's 50th Anniversary, students were prompted to select 'something' that has influenced the world whether it be a political movement, a social change, an invention.  The students researched and wrote about its origins, then speculated what that 'something' might look like to students celebrating the centennial anniversary of the school in 2061.  There are some pretty amazing projects!
