Tuition Assistance Program
We recognize that affording a Saint Andrew's education can be challenging at times, and we strive to make our enriched school experience accessible to qualified students from families that embrace the mission of our school. To support our families, a Tuition Assistance Program is available based upon a family's demonstrated financial need. Although we may not be able to fulfill all requests for assistance, we endeavor to accommodate as many families as possible to the extent that funds are available.
During the 2015-16 school year, Saint Andrew's awarded $393,000 in tuition assistance to 44 students and 33 families, representing 11.6% of our overall student body. Tuition assistance awards range in size from 6% to 75%, with the average grant comprising approximately $10,000 of tuition and fees, including after-school care, field trips and other programs.
All requests to participate in our Tuition Assistance Program, related documentation and dollar amounts are held in the strictest confidence. Applying for Tuition Assistance does not affect a child's acceptance to or enrollment at Saint Andrew's.
Saint Andrew's follows the principles and procedures of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS), located in Princeton, New Jersey. Parents who wish to apply for our Tuition Assistance Program need to submit a Parents' Financial Statement, along with supporting materials, to SSS. SSS analyzes the financial information submitted against standardized national norms and generates an Estimated Family Contribution, which is a third party objective assessment of what a family should be able to contribute to a child's annual education costs.
SSS provides Saint Andrew's with the Estimated Family Contribution, which the Tuition Assistance Committee then uses as a guide in evaluating Tuition Assistance Program applications. The Committee determines whether a Tuition Assistance award is warranted and, if so, in what amount.
For the 2017-2018 school year, applicants for our Tuition Assistance Program should submit an application and support materials to SSS by February 1st, 2017 for priority consideration.
