Our Mission & Strategic Plan

We will continue to ensure that all students are prepared academically, socially, and emotionally for high school and beyond.

1. We will collaboratively build an ideal student profile that incorporates the ability to support a student’s academic preparedness, character, values, and compassion.
2. All Saint Andrew’s students will be exposed to a plethora of experiences inside and outside of the classroom each school year including learning opportunities focused on STEAM, Health & Wellness, and Social Awareness.
3. We will examine the role of assessment and reporting in our program, including the use of formative assessment and updating the report card format.
4. We will develop a Curriculum Development Committee to create standardized procedures to use when integrating new programs into the curriculum and garnering faculty input to be approved by the administration. The committee will serve as the internal lead for exploring a compassion education curriculum that includes embedding service learning into the academic program. 

We will build on our core Episcopal values and strive to be a welcoming and inclusive community for all students and families.

1. We will ensure that we have a supportive environment for all with a specific emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion embedded into the curriculum, including diverse learning styles.
    
2. We will develop a robust Flexible Tuition plan that aims to enroll students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.   
    
3. We will develop and implement a multi-year diversity recruitment plan that includes building and nurturing relationships with community organizations that will expand the pool of applicants from those communities.

We have successfully grown to our targeted enrollment by Fall 2022.

1. We will develop a Strategic Marketing, Admissions and Retention campaign that enhances the external and internal perception of Saint Andrew’s that celebrates our #Wholehearted approach to learning and our students’ academic preparedness for California’s most competitive high schools.
    
2. We will enroll mission-aligned students to achieve 2 full sections in each class per grade level in grades K-5 and 3 full sections of 6-8.
    
3. We will build on our retention strategy to include a consistent exit interview process to understand the motivation for families leaving the school and the decision of those who were offered admission but did not enroll.

We will actively attract, develop & retain faculty and staff who reflect Saint Andrew’s mission, local community, and surrounding areas.

1. We will develop a deliberate strategy around recruiting diverse faculty that includes partnering with colleges and institutions to reflect the racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, and socio-economic diversity of the Saint Andrew’s community. 
    
2. We will develop and implement a plan for providing more time to strengthen teacher collaboration in a way that is well articulated, organized and meaningful to all. 
    
3. We will research and implement an updated teacher evaluation procedure, ensuring that it is based on a developmental view of teaching and the setting of measurable goals, which will benefit teachers at all stages in their careers.
    
4. We will design a performance management process at each level of the organization that includes job descriptions for every role, measures of effectiveness and alignment to the Saint Andrew’s mission.

We have partnered with the Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church to develop a blueprint for the neighboring land in December 2020.

1. We will develop a visioning committee consisting of select members of the board, administration and the church to collaboratively design a plan for the recently purchased neighboring land. 

We will ensure robust technology infrastructure, best-in-class governance, and long-term financial sustainability.

1. We will create a more robust financial position by building an endowment to reduce the dependence on tuition. We will foster a strong culture of philanthropy where the expectation is that 100% of the school community contributes to the level and manner at which they are able.
2. We will create and execute a five-year technology plan which will include analyzing infrastructure, improving platforms used, identifying educational goals for technology and developing innovative uses of technology in the classroom. 
    
3. We will conduct a comprehensive risk assessment to identify financial and organizational near, mid, and long-term risks.
    
4. We will engage an outside expert to conduct board education around trustee roles and responsibilities, including fiduciary and fundraising responsibilities.
