Middle School (Grades 6-8)

Our Middle School program is designed to guide students to be open-minded, responsible, and lifelong learners who will make a difference in their world.

In Middle School, students continue their journey towards becoming independent learners, creative and complex thinkers, collaborative contributors, and effective communicators. Each day, students strengthen their foundational knowledge of the five core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Spanish, while being guided into more complex and higher levels of investigation. Computer literacy and digital citizenship are integrated throughout the curricula. The study of Art, Music, Physical Education, and Religion round out our balanced middle school academic program.

Middle School students are engaged in numerous activities over the course of the school year, including:
  • Friday night dances and movie nights

  • Student Council leadership opportunities

  • Service learning day trips across the Santa Clara Valley

  • Cultural and scientific field trips

  • Buddy Program (buddy partners with Lower School students)

  • Holiday Craft Fair

  • Halloween Costume Contest

  • Beach Cleanup Day

  • Clubs

High School Counseling

The high school counseling process is an important component of the eighth grade year and a culminating part of our Saint Andrew’s experience. From our annual High School Fair to visits from high school admissions representatives and SAES alumni, the high school preparation retreat, and individual counseling sessions with each family, Saint Andrew’s aims to help each student find a high school that is the “best fit” for their goals and aspirations.
