From forming our first robotics teams just last year to setting them up for success with our new Tech Garage at the beginning of this school year, Saint Andrew's has passed yet another milestone, hosting our first-ever competition on campus!

This event was a culmination of hard work, dedication, and community spirit that defines Saint Andrew's/ Over the past year, our robotics teams have expanded from just two teams to six, allowing more students to join and hone their skills in robotics. With the support of our school community and six like-minded schools, we were ready to host a successful tournament and welcome over 200 students  from 38 teams representing seven schools. Together, we created a positive, student-centric competition environment that values integrity, collaboration, and growth.

The competition, which followed the rules of REC and used VEX IQ robotics, was a true reflection of what Saint Andrew's stands for: community, innovation, and excellence. Our students have shown remarkable progress, and their efforts were evident throughout the event. All teams demonstrated sportmanship, perseverance, and school spirit from start to finish.

At the end of this successful event, Saint Andrew's was proud to have received the Design and Think Award. Our teams also secured an impressive third-place overall finish in the competition.

"It was brilliant to see our campus buzzing with teams excited about robotics! And the icing on the cake was our team's hard work paying off, winning 2 awards, and being contenders for all 5 awards,"  said Jared Mata, Robotics Coach at Saint Andrew's.

As we reflect on this successful event, we look forward to the future of our robotics program. Our teams continue to push their skills and have their sights on new challenges and opportunities. We are excited to continue to grow this thriving community of young innovators.

Congrats, Saint Andrew's!
