Parents' Association Board

The Book Fair generates school spirit by promoting literacy with an outstanding selection of books and gifts for all ages. Volunteers facilitate this fundraiser in many ways, including running cashiers, restocking books, and providing customer service. Proceeds from the Book Fair benefit the school. 

Dads are encouraged to participate in the Dads’ Club (join the group "DadsClub" on the SAES app). In addition to holding social meetings throughout the year, this club is responsible for a fall family event and a Texas Hold ‘em Poker Night for adults. Dads - if you have any issues joining the group, or questions, contact Dominic Brocato at djbrocato@gmail.com.

Open to all students third through eighth grade, the Variety Show provides an opportunity for individuals or groups of students to perform their own act. Any talent is welcome! Parent volunteers coordinate ticket sales, stage sound and lighting, and intermission refreshments.

Throughout the year, parent volunteers help coordinate events to honor and celebrate our teachers. We also provide breakfast for our faculty on National Teacher Appreciation Day. We provide lunch during teacher parent conferences and breakfast for our faculty on National Teacher Appreciation Day.

This breakfast held at the end of year is for all parents. It is a celebration of the countless ways that parents make a positive difference within the Saint Andrew’s Community and for their children.

All grades participate in an afternoon of fun. Students have lunch with their buddies then the Lower School participates in games and races at Crestbrook Field with the day concluding with an eighth grade vs. faculty volleyball match. Parent volunteers from each class “coach” the games and races for Lower School.

Parents, faculty, and alumni attend this extremely fun evening of outstanding food, a silent and live auction, and great camaraderie. The Spring Social raises money to help support our Flexible Tuition Program and many of the school activities that directly benefit our children. A significant number of parents share their time, talent, and resources to help make this event successful. Parent volunteers are needed for both big and small jobs throughout the year and during the event.

Several times a year, a special lunch is arranged by volunteers for the school’s Buddy Program.

Saint Andrew’s is a member of the Common Ground Speaker Series; a coalition of Bay Area schools that have joined together to provide parent education to their school communities through experts in the fields of education and parenting. Saint Andrew’s parents may attend the speaker events at no cost.

Dressed in their costumes, students participate in this afternoon of Halloween fun. Students have lunch with their buddies, then head to Crestbrook Field, for an afternoon filled with games suited for Pre-K through fifth grades. Middle School students chaperone younger students as well as run activity booths.

With the help of parent volunteers, third, fourth, and fifth grade students enjoy an evening playing bingo, eating pizza, and having a great time with their classmates.

The Friday before the week of Thanksgiving, grandparents and special family friends are invited to a morning program of music, art, great food, and classroom visits. Parent volunteers support this event for the more than 300 guests who attend.

Open to third through eighth graders, the Spring Musical is always a hit amongst Saint Andrew’s families. Parent volunteers share their talents and help with many areas of the show.

Purchase used uniforms in excellent condition at greatly reduced prices. Proceeds from the Used Uniform Sale help benefit teacher appreciation throughout the school year.
